In the Polish city of Radom<\/strong> a group of eight men<\/strong> attacked three 20-year-old Ukrainians<\/strong>. The victims sustained bodily injuries, mainly to the head and face. The incident occurred on August 2, 2026<\/strong>, at approximately between 05:00 and 06:00<\/strong>, on Malczewskiego Street. Polish media published the details of the case only several weeks later. The circumstances of the attack were reported by the Polish outlets M\u00f3j Radom<\/a> and Onet<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, 34-year-old Lublin resident Tomasz G.<\/strong> came to Radom<\/strong> for a wedding. After the celebration he, intoxicated, walked through the town and met three young Ukrainians. The man began asking them about their origin. A verbal argument broke out between them. According to the victims, the Pole tried to give them a “lecture about Volhynia”<\/strong>. After that Tomasz G.<\/strong> called three or four men who were passing on the other side of the street and told them that there were Ukrainians in front of them.<\/p>\n

“They reacted very violently, and the attack began,” said Radom district prosecutor Cezary O\u0142tarzewski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Later several more people joined the beating. In total eight men<\/strong> took part in the attack.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainians sustained injuries to the head and face. The exact severity of the injuries is to be determined by a forensic medical examination. After the beating the main suspect ordered a taxi and left the scene, “as if nothing had happened”<\/strong>. The police identified him and brought him to the prosecutor’s office. The man was charged with using violence or unlawful threats with discriminatory motives, as well as participating in a group beating. Tomasz G. pleaded guilty<\/strong> and gave testimony. He was placed under police supervision as a preventive measure. The man faces up to five years in prison<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Law enforcement continues to identify other participants in the attack and is checking footage from the city’s video surveillance cameras.<\/p>\n
