At the same time <strong>Vladimir Putin<\/strong> was surpassed by three representatives of the current power system in trust ratings and potential support in the presidential elections. This is evidenced by the results of a study that <strong data-start=\"1150\" data-end=\"1173\">20 August <\/strong>2026 were published by the <a class=\"decorated-link\" href=\"https:\/\/usp-ltd.org\/zminiuietsia-ne-lyshe-rejtynh-putina-a-j-sama-struktura-politychnoi-doviry-v-rosii\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_new\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1324\">Ukrainian Sociological Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1378\" data-end=\"1603\">According to the survey results, only <strong data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1433\">10.1% of respondents<\/strong> believe that Russia is developing in the right direction. The opposite opinion was expressed by <strong data-start=\"1516\" data-end=\"1534\">86.2% of those surveyed<\/strong>. In particular, <strong data-start=\"1545\" data-end=\"1554\">50.5%<\/strong> assessed the situation in the country as categorically negative.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1605\" data-end=\"1819\">A worsening of their families&#8217; material situation over the past year was reported by <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1706\">75% of Russians<\/strong>. Of them, <strong data-start=\"1715\" data-end=\"1724\">30.8%<\/strong> reported a significant deterioration. An improvement in financial situation was noticed by only <strong data-start=\"1799\" data-end=\"1818\">9% of respondents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"2043\">In an open question about the politicians whom Russians trust most and whom they consider capable of improving the situation, first place was taken by the Mayor of Moscow <strong data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2042\">Sergey Sobyanin \u2014 48.3%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2045\" data-end=\"2064\">Next were:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2159\">\n<li data-section-id=\"oa5s8t\" data-start=\"2066\" data-end=\"2097\"><strong data-start=\"2068\" data-end=\"2097\">Mikhail Mishustin \u2014 35.1%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1uwhxse\" data-start=\"2098\" data-end=\"2128\"><strong data-start=\"2100\" data-end=\"2128\">Andrey Belousov \u2014 33.8%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1f67rnb\" data-start=\"2129\" data-end=\"2159\"><strong data-start=\"2131\" data-end=\"2159\">Vladimir Putin \u2014 32.9%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2161\" data-end=\"2225\">Thus, the incumbent head of the Kremlin ended up only in <strong data-start=\"2204\" data-end=\"2224\">fourth place<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2284\" data-end=\"2443\">Researchers obtained similar results during presidential election modeling. The largest electoral potential was shown by <strong data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2442\">Sergey Sobyanin \u2014 47.6%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2445\" data-end=\"2458\">Following are:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2460\" data-end=\"2553\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1bkg1rk\" data-start=\"2460\" data-end=\"2491\"><strong data-start=\"2462\" data-end=\"2491\">Mikhail Mishustin \u2014 38.1%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1diws3o\" data-start=\"2492\" data-end=\"2522\"><strong data-start=\"2494\" data-end=\"2522\">Andrey Belousov \u2014 36.7%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"vxjxyx\" data-start=\"2523\" data-end=\"2553\"><strong data-start=\"2525\" data-end=\"2553\">Vladimir Putin \u2014 34.1%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2555\" data-end=\"2794\">At the same time, the study&#8217;s authors emphasize that the results do not indicate a strengthening of the Russian opposition. The highest support was received by representatives of the same power vertical. That is, Russians are seeking <strong>a replacement for Putin mostly from within the existing system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2824\" data-end=\"2904\">Among the main wishes regarding the country&#8217;s future, respondents most often named:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"2906\" data-end=\"2977\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1dhd3jt\" data-start=\"2906\" data-end=\"2924\"><strong data-start=\"2908\" data-end=\"2924\">peace \u2014 71.5%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"182ljjg\" data-start=\"2925\" data-end=\"2950\"><strong data-start=\"2927\" data-end=\"2950\">democracy \u2014 63.4%;<\/strong><\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1k6pypg\" data-start=\"2951\" data-end=\"2977\"><strong data-start=\"2953\" data-end=\"2977\">prosperity \u2014 61.6%.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2979\" data-end=\"3090\">More than a third of respondents \u2014 <strong data-start=\"3004\" data-end=\"3013\">34.2%<\/strong> \u2014 believe that the country&#8217;s future is <strong data-start=\"3057\" data-end=\"3089\">linked to Russia without Vladimir Putin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3121\" data-end=\"3255\">The study was conducted from <strong data-start=\"3143\" data-end=\"3170\">1 to 7 August 2026<\/strong> by telephone survey <strong data-start=\"3202\" data-end=\"3210\">CATI<\/strong>, disguised as a marketing study. Sociologists surveyed <strong data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3296\">2000 respondents<\/strong> in the regions of Russia within its internationally recognized borders. The sample is representative by age, gender, type of settlement and region.
