The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.<\/p>\n<p>The major is accused of receiving undue benefits, fraud, evasion of military service, illegal enrichment and legalization of property obtained by criminal means. His subordinate is accused of providing an undue benefit.<\/p>\n<p>According to the investigation, in June <strong>2025<\/strong> the serviceman received <strong>10<\/strong> thousand dollars from the clerk. For this money he was to use his official position to permit the replacement of food products intended for the military. Instead of tomatoes they supplied cucumbers, and instead of apples \u2014 oranges, while the documents listed different product names.<\/p>\n<p>As the investigation established, during <strong>2024<\/strong>\u2013<strong>2025<\/strong> the major in total evaded service for <strong>83<\/strong> days during martial law. After foreign vacations he, according to the investigation, misled the command by reporting an alleged return to the military unit. In reality the man remained outside Ukraine. In other cases he was, without legal grounds, in Khmelnytskyi and Odesa regions.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the serviceman was unjustifiably credited with over <strong>549<\/strong> thousand hryvnias in monetary provision and additional remuneration. The investigation believes that he disposed of these funds at his own discretion.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, law enforcement established that in <strong>2023<\/strong>\u2013<strong>2025<\/strong> the major acquired assets with a total value of <strong>26,2<\/strong> mln hryvnias. According to the investigation, the legality of their origin is not confirmed. Among the assets:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BMW X6 M;<\/li>\n<li><strong>two<\/strong> apartments in Dnipro;<\/li>\n<li>a parking space;<\/li>\n<li>the right to long-term lease of a property in Bali;<\/li>\n<li>branded clothing and accessories.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>About <strong>4,1<\/strong> mln hryvnias, the man, according to the investigation, spent on trips to Peru, the USA, Japan, the UAE and Colombia, trips to Hawaii and Bora-Bora, a visit to Argentina, and also a cruise to Antarctica.<\/p>\n<p>In the declaration for <strong>2023<\/strong> he did not report expenses of <strong>8,9<\/strong> mln hryvnias, and in the declaration for <strong>2024<\/strong> \u2014 of <strong>18,2<\/strong> mln hryvnias.<\/p>\n<p>During searches, the major had seized over <strong>51<\/strong> thousand US dollars, <strong>2,1<\/strong> thousand euros and <strong>201<\/strong> thousand hryvnias. Law enforcement also found documents for elite real estate and cars, a collection of branded clothing, shoes and accessories with an approximate value of over <strong>8<\/strong> mln hryvnias, and promissory notes for <strong>120<\/strong> thousand dollars.<\/p>\n<p>His subordinate was found to have IOUs for <strong>20<\/strong> thousand dollars, mobile phones, laptops, bank cards and documents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>On February 5, 2026<\/strong> the major was detained. At the prosecutor&#8217;s request, the court imposed a preventive measure on him in the form of detention. The clerk was assigned a personal obligation.<\/p>\n<p>If found guilty, the major could face up to <strong>10<\/strong> years of imprisonment, and his subordinate \u2014 up to <strong>4<\/strong> years.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, there were reports of uncovering in Dnipropetrovsk region a corruption scheme involving the supply of rotten food to the military.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-1' class='gallery
