In Kyiv<\/strong>, two minors were detained who are suspected of attacks on women in the center of Podil<\/strong>. In one evening, two Kyiv residents aged 48 and 43<\/strong> were injured. This was reported on August 11<\/strong> 2026 by the police of Kyiv<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the suspects are 16- and 17-year-old residents of the Podilskyi district<\/strong>. That evening they had been drinking alcohol, after which, according to law enforcement, they carried out two attacks.<\/p>\n

At Poshtova Square<\/strong> the teenagers provoked a conflict with a 48-year-old woman<\/strong>. According to the police, the 17-year-old struck her in the face with brass knuckles, and his 16-year-old companion stabbed her in the abdomen twice. The victim was hospitalized in a serious condition<\/strong>. Later, on Mezhyhirska Street<\/strong> the suspects attacked a 43-year-old Kyiv resident<\/strong>. One of them struck the woman in the face several times with brass knuckles. She was diagnosed with a brain contusion and other injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Police located the suspects with the help of criminal analysts and detained them in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. Both teenagers were notified of suspicion under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 hooliganism with the use of a pre-prepared object to inflict bodily harm. The 16-year-old youth<\/strong> is additionally accused under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 intentional grievous bodily injury.<\/p>\n

The court remanded the 16-year-old suspect in custody<\/strong>. His 17-year-old accomplice was placed under round-the-clock house arrest<\/strong>. If found guilty, they face up to eight and up to seven years of imprisonment, respectively<\/strong>. The final decision will be made by the court.<\/p>\n
