A rainless period continues in the Mykolaiv region<\/strong>, which, depending on the area, already amounts to 13 to 20 days<\/strong>. The most worrying indicator for agrometeorologists – as of 8 August 2026<\/strong> the productive moisture reserves in the arable soil layer are completely depleted<\/strong>, while in the one-meter layer they remain unsatisfactory.<\/p>\n

This was 10 August<\/strong>\u00a0reported<\/a> by the Mykolaiv Oblast Center for Hydrometeorology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to specialists, the current rainless period in Mykolaiv Oblast began on 22\u201324 July<\/strong>. As of 10 August<\/strong>, its duration in different parts of the region is from 13 to 20 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

An exception was Pervomaisk<\/strong>, where the prolonged period without significant precipitation was interrupted on 8 August<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The regional center for hydrometeorology explained that a rainless period is considered to be one during which the daily amount of precipitation does not exceed 5 mm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For agrometeorologists, the duration of such a period is an important indicator, since the amount of precipitation largely determines soil moisture reserves, which in turn affect the conditions for plant growth and development.<\/p>\n

The most critical situation remains with productive moisture reserves. According to observations as of 8 August<\/strong>, they are already completely depleted<\/strong> in the arable soil layer.<\/p>\n

In the one-meter soil layer, specialists assess the productive moisture reserves as unsatisfactory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thus, after another prolonged period without significant precipitation, a significant soil moisture deficit has again formed in the Mykolaiv region<\/strong>, which worsens the conditions for the growth and development of agricultural crops.<\/p>\n
