Mykhailo Fedorov<\/strong> received the best trust-distrust balance among 10 public figures<\/strong> evaluated by Ukrainians in a survey<\/a> by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology. He is trusted by 63%<\/strong> of respondents, distrusted by only 16%<\/strong>, and the balance is +46 percentage points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Between July 16 and 31, 2026, the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) conducted a nationwide public opinion survey. The survey was carried out using a mixed-mode method: half of the respondents were interviewed by computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI), and the other half by face-to-face interviews using tablets.<\/p>\n

According to the survey, the largest share of trust belongs to Valerii Zaluzhnyi<\/strong> – 66%<\/strong>, however due to a higher level of distrust his balance is lower than that of Mykhailo Fedorov<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

These are the results the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology obtained during the survey conducted from July 16 to 31, 2026<\/strong>. The study was conducted using a mixed method: some respondents were interviewed by phone, others online.<\/p>\n

By the direct share of those who trust public figures, the top position was taken by the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Ukraine’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Valerii Zaluzhnyi<\/strong>. He is trusted by 66%<\/strong> of respondents, distrusted by 24%<\/strong>, and the trust-distrust balance is +42 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In second place by level of trust is Mykhailo Fedorov<\/strong> with 63%<\/strong>. At the same time, he became the leader by balance: only 16%<\/strong> of respondents expressed distrust in him, so the final indicator is +46 points<\/strong> – the best result among all persons presented in this ranking.<\/p>\n

Third in terms of trust is the Head of the Presidential Office, Kyrylo Budanov<\/strong>: 61%<\/strong> of Ukrainians trust him, 22%<\/strong> do not. The balance is +39 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky<\/strong> ended up in fourth place<\/strong>: 56%<\/strong> of respondents trust him, while 38%<\/strong> do not. Thus, the President’s trust-distrust balance is +18 points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Next is the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov<\/strong>. He is trusted by 47%<\/strong> of respondents, distrusted by 19%<\/strong>. At the same time, 23%<\/strong> of respondents said they do not know this politician.<\/p>\n

The Commander of the Third Army Corps, Andrii Biletskyi<\/strong>, is trusted by 37%<\/strong> of Ukrainians, distrusted by 13%<\/strong>. At the same time his recognition remains significantly lower: 40%<\/strong> of survey participants reported that they do not know him.<\/p>\n

Thus, the ranking demonstrates an important difference between the absolute level of trust and its balance. Valerii Zaluzhnyi<\/strong> has the most respondents who trust him – 66%<\/strong>, but Mykhailo Fedorov<\/strong> has significantly fewer who express distrust – only 16%<\/strong>. It is thanks to this that Fedorov<\/strong>, with a figure of +46 points<\/strong>, takes first place in the trust-distrust balance.<\/p>\n

For the rest of the public figures presented in this list, the balance turned out to be negative – that is, the share of those who do not trust them exceeds the number who do. This group includes public figure Serhii Prytula<\/strong>, members of parliament Dmytro Razumkov<\/strong> and Oleksii Honcharenko<\/strong>, as well as the fifth President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The worst result among the 10 people<\/strong> was received by Petro Poroshenko<\/strong>. Only 20%<\/strong> of respondents trust him, while 76%<\/strong> declared distrust. His balance is -56 percentage points<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
