In Mykolaiv<\/strong>, the program \u00abHealth Screening 40+<\/strong>\u00bb is being implemented. To date, 6,926<\/strong> city residents have already undergone the free examination. Municipal medical institutions are joining the program so that people can learn about their health status in time and prevent the development of serious illnesses.<\/p>\n

At Primary Healthcare Center No. 3<\/strong>, nearly 2,000<\/strong> residents have already taken advantage of the opportunity to undergo the program free of charge. The center’s head, Lesya Mazepa<\/strong>, emphasized that the examination results once again confirm the importance of prevention:<\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost every third patient had dyslipidemia \u2014 a risk factor for the development of heart attack and stroke. All were prescribed treatment and given recommendations for lifestyle changes.<\/p>\n

Approximately one in ten screening participants required the start of treatment or further examination due to detected arterial hypertension or kidney disease.<\/p>\n

In some patients, prediabetes or diabetes was detected for the first time. Thanks to timely examination, people received the necessary treatment or the opportunity to stop the disease’s progression at an early stage.<\/p>\n

Signs of mental health problems were also found in a number of participants, which became the basis for further consultation with relevant specialists.<\/p>\n

The most important thing is that most of these people did not have pronounced complaints and felt well. That is why preventive screening is so important \u2014 it helps detect diseases when they can still be effectively controlled and the development of complications prevented.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
