In Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast<\/strong>, an incident involving representatives of the territorial recruitment center and a colonel of the Security Service of Ukraine has attracted attention. According to local public pages and media, the serviceman was allegedly forcibly detained, beaten and taken to the TCC premises. There is no official confirmation of these circumstances from law enforcement agencies yet.<\/p>\n

According to preliminary information, the incident occurred on 5 August 2026<\/strong>. The man was detained on the street and forcibly brought to the TCC. Local sources claim that he spent more than 10 hours<\/strong> there. It is reported that after checking documents at the TCC it was established that the detainee is an SBU colonel. After that, he was allegedly released.<\/p>\n

Separately, the man reported missing money. According to him, during the detention his bag, which contained 55,000 hryvnias<\/strong>, was taken, and after his release the funds were not returned. According to media reports, after the man left the TCC premises he contacted the police and reported the circumstances of the incident.<\/p>\n

At the same time, as of the morning of 7 August 2026<\/strong>, no announcement about this incident has been published on the official website of the police of Odesa Oblast<\/strong>. There have also been no public comments from the SBU, the Odesa regional TCC and SP, the State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) or the Ministry of Defense. The local outlet “Inshe.TV” separately notes that the information about the event comes from Odesa public pages.<\/p>\n

Therefore, information about the beating, unlawful detention and disappearance of 55,000 hryvnias<\/strong> should currently be considered as the victim’s statement and reports from unofficial sources. It is up to law enforcement to ultimately establish what happened in Chornomorsk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
