According to investigators, during <strong data-start=\"271\" data-end=\"290\">2020\u20132025<\/strong> the serviceman acquired assets whose value exceeds his lawful income by at least <strong data-start=\"354\" data-end=\"378\">20 million hryvnias<\/strong>. This was <strong data-start=\"417\" data-end=\"439\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/ruslan_kravchenko_ua\/1168\">reported<\/a> on 6 August 2026<\/strong> by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine <strong data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"499\">Ruslan Kravchenko<\/strong>. According to the investigation, a significant number of real estate properties and expensive cars may have been registered to <strong data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"702\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong> through close and related persons. These include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"1032\">\n<li data-section-id=\"rst5r8\" data-start=\"785\" data-end=\"842\"><strong data-start=\"787\" data-end=\"800\">6 apartments<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"803\" data-end=\"812\">Kyiv<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"825\">Vinnytsia<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"829\" data-end=\"841\">Zhytomyr<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"oternx\" data-start=\"843\" data-end=\"886\"><strong data-start=\"845\" data-end=\"866\">3 residential houses<\/strong> in the <strong data-start=\"870\" data-end=\"885\">Zhytomyr region<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"ofb17i\" data-start=\"887\" data-end=\"916\">apartments in <strong data-start=\"903\" data-end=\"915\">Bukovel<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"833lyu\" data-start=\"917\" data-end=\"943\"><strong data-start=\"919\" data-end=\"942\">6 plots of land<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"14vsv80\" data-start=\"944\" data-end=\"994\"><strong data-start=\"946\" data-end=\"962\">4 cars<\/strong>, including Audi Q7 and Audi Q5;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1o90qqq\" data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1032\">garages and other non-residential premises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1034\" data-end=\"1233\">The property was formally registered to the serviceman\u2019s parents, son, partner and godfather. However, law enforcement believes that the actual owner and manager of the assets remained <strong data-start=\"1212\" data-end=\"1232\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong> himself. The investigation analyzed the incomes of the suspect and people associated with him but did not establish lawful sources that could explain the acquisition of such a number of properties, land and vehicles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1434\" data-end=\"1616\">Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, <strong data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1523\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong> was notified of suspicion under Art.<strong data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1592\"> 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 illegal enrichment. He was also served with a motion to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention. As an alternative, the prosecution asks the court to set bail in the amount of more than <strong data-start=\"1789\" data-end=\"1811\">21 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1814\" data-end=\"2067\">Law enforcement\u2019s interest in the property status of <strong data-start=\"1863\" data-end=\"1882\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong>\u2019 family did not start recently. As early as <strong data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"1924\">February 2026<\/strong>, Bihus.Info journalists reported that his relatives had acquired assets over several years with an estimated value of about <strong data-start=\"2044\" data-end=\"2066\">1 million dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2069\" data-end=\"2373\">A significant portion of the property was registered to the retired parents. In particular, the serviceman\u2019s mother in <strong data-start=\"2157\" data-end=\"2170\">2025<\/strong> registered as an entrepreneur and soon became the owner of apartments in the Mountain Residence complex in <strong data-start=\"2276\" data-end=\"2288\">Bukovel<\/strong>. Journalists estimated the approximate value of such a property at <strong data-start=\"2348\" data-end=\"2372\">6.5 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2375\" data-end=\"2692\">The mother was also listed as the owner of a house near <strong data-start=\"2416\" data-end=\"2429\">Zhytomyr<\/strong> and several apartments in <strong data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2460\">Kyiv<\/strong>, including in the residential complexes &#8220;Faina Town&#8221; and &#8220;Varshavskyi&#8221;. An apartment in <strong data-start=\"2570\" data-end=\"2579\">Kyiv<\/strong>, houses and land plots in the <strong data-start=\"2611\" data-end=\"2626\">Zhytomyr region<\/strong>, as well as parking spaces, were registered to the serviceman\u2019s son.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"3025\">This is not the first suspicion announced against <strong data-start=\"2772\" data-end=\"2791\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong>. In <strong data-start=\"2795\" data-end=\"2815\">February 2026<\/strong>, he and the then head of the SBU Directorate in <strong data-start=\"2868\" data-end=\"2918\">Zhytomyr region, Volodymyr Kompanichenko<\/strong>, were detained as part of an investigation into possible corruption during the construction of protective structures for combat aviation. According to law enforcement, in <strong data-start=\"3056\" data-end=\"3076\">May 2025<\/strong> about <strong data-start=\"3178\" data-end=\"3202\">1.4 billion hryvnias<\/strong> were directed to the installation of prefabricated arched shelters at the operational airfields of the Defense Forces.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3205\" data-end=\"3433\">The checks allegedly showed that certain projects did not meet safety requirements, the structures did not guarantee adequate protection of aircraft, and the cost of the works may have been inflated. Despite this, contractors received advance payments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3435\" data-end=\"3745\">Investigators believe that to stop inspections and conceal possible embezzlement officials proposed to transfer about <strong data-start=\"3558\" data-end=\"3582\">13 million hryvnias<\/strong> \u2014 approximately <strong data-start=\"3595\" data-end=\"3601\">1%<\/strong> of the project funding. They also allegedly planned to involve compliant auditors to prepare the necessary conclusions about the quality of the structures. The suspects were detained on <strong data-start=\"3768\" data-end=\"3791\">25 February 2026<\/strong> during an attempt to hand over <strong data-start=\"3816\" data-end=\"3841\">320 thousand US dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3882\" data-end=\"4184\"><strong data-start=\"3882\" data-end=\"3905\">27 February 2026<\/strong> the High Anti-Corruption Court chose <strong data-start=\"3938\" data-end=\"3957\">detention<\/strong> for <strong data-start=\"3938\" data-end=\"3957\">Andriy Ukrainets<\/strong> as a preventive measure until <strong data-start=\"4008\" data-end=\"4021\">25 April<\/strong> with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of <strong data-start=\"4062\" data-end=\"4085\">7 million hryvnias<\/strong>. The VAC\u2019s appellate chamber later left this decision unchanged. The new suspicion of illegal enrichment is a separate episode.
