But if you look at these data dynamically, a far more alarming picture emerges: the population served by the center is shrinking, the birth rate remains critically low, and heart and vascular diseases are once again returning as the main threat to residents of the district.<\/p>\n<p>That is why the editorial office of <strong>Korabelov.info<\/strong> analyzed not only the new response from the medical institution dated <strong>29.07.2026<\/strong>, but also previous open data from past years to understand not only &#8220;how many now&#8221; but also &#8220;where things are heading&#8221;. The source of the main new data is the official response of <strong>PHCC No. 7<\/strong> to the editorial information request.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>1. There are fewer declarations than before the large-scale war<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>As of <strong>14.05.2019<\/strong> the center had <strong>45 141<\/strong> declarations. On <strong>01.01.2020<\/strong> their number rose to <strong>47 622<\/strong>, and as of <strong>01.07.2026<\/strong> \u2014 fell to <strong>45 775<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>So, compared with the beginning of <strong>2020<\/strong> the medical institution lost <strong>1 847 patients<\/strong>, or about <strong>3.9%<\/strong>. Formally this is not a catastrophe, but it is important to remember: this is no longer about the pre-war peak, but about a system after several years of war, evacuation and population decline.<\/p>\n<p>The chart of declarations dynamics shows that today&#8217;s level has effectively rolled back to the <strong>2019<\/strong> figures.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>2. Absolute mortality is decreasing, but that does not mean the situation has improved<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>According to available data in the service area of <strong>PHCC No. 7<\/strong> the following people died:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in <strong>2011<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>840<\/strong> people;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2012<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>803<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2013<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>752<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2014<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>734<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2015<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>687<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2017<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>659<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>in <strong>2022<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>591<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>for the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>254<\/strong> people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you mechanically project the pace of the first half onto the whole year, then <strong>2026<\/strong> could finish at approximately <strong>508 deaths<\/strong>. That conditional figure is shown on the chart with an asterisk.<\/p>\n<p>At first glance this looks like an improvement: compared to <strong>2011<\/strong> deaths have decreased by almost <strong>40%<\/strong>. But in reality such dynamics can be explained not only by health conditions but also by the fact that there are simply fewer residents left in the district. Therefore, it would be wrong to rejoice solely at the drop in the absolute number.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>3. Births remain meager, and deaths consistently exceed them<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> only <strong>95 children<\/strong> were born in the center&#8217;s service area, while <strong>254 people<\/strong> died. That is, deaths were <strong>2.7 times<\/strong> higher than births.<\/p>\n<p>For comparison:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in <strong>2022<\/strong> in the <strong>Korabelny district<\/strong> <strong>174<\/strong> children were born and <strong>852<\/strong> people died;<\/li>\n<li>in the <strong>first half of 2025<\/strong> in the district <strong>159<\/strong> children were born and <strong>433<\/strong> people died;<\/li>\n<li>in the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> in the service area of <strong>PHCC No. 7<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>95<\/strong> births and <strong>254<\/strong> deaths.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Yes, these periods are not completely identical: some data refer to the entire district, and some \u2014 specifically to the center&#8217;s patients. But even with that caveat the trend is obvious: natural population decline has persisted for years and is not going away.<\/p>\n<p>On the chart \u201cBirths and deaths\u201d the main point is clear: the blue bars for births remain many times lower than the orange bars for deaths.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>4. Cardiovascular diseases have again become the dominant cause of death<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> the structure of adult mortality looks like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>diseases of the circulatory system \u2014 <strong>181 cases<\/strong>, or <strong>71.5%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>malignant neoplasms \u2014 <strong>31 cases<\/strong>, or <strong>12.5%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>injuries, poisonings and other consequences \u2014 <strong>14 cases<\/strong>, or <strong>5.5%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>diseases of the digestive system \u2014 <strong>9 cases<\/strong>, or <strong>3.6%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>diseases of the respiratory system \u2014 <strong>6 cases<\/strong>, or <strong>2.4%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Particularly telling is the comparison with previous years.<\/p>\n<p>The share of deaths from diseases of the circulatory system was:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>70.7%<\/strong> in <strong>2015<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>61.4%<\/strong> in <strong>2022<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>71.5%<\/strong> in the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thus, after a relative decline during the war period this indicator has again returned almost to the level of a decade ago. That is what the third chart \u2014 comparison of causes of death \u2014 demonstrates.<\/p>\n<p>Oncology in the mortality structure remains relatively stable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>14.2%<\/strong> in <strong>2015<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>13%<\/strong> in <strong>2022<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>12.5%<\/strong> in <strong>2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Meanwhile the share of injuries, poisonings and other external causes has decreased:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>6.2%<\/strong> in <strong>2015<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>10.8%<\/strong> in <strong>2022<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>5.5%<\/strong> in <strong>2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>5. Not only the elderly are dying \u2014 there are losses among the working-age population too<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> <strong>38 working-age people<\/strong> died.<\/p>\n<p>The age structure of the deceased shows that most deaths fall on older groups:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>71\u201380 years<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>31.6%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>81\u201390 years<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>28.5%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>61\u201370 years<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>18.6%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>56\u201360 years<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>6.7%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>over <strong>90 years<\/strong> \u2014 <strong>5.1%<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>However, even against this background <strong>38 deaths<\/strong> among the working-age are an alarming figure. It means the problem concerns not only natural aging of the population but also premature losses among those who should still be working and supporting families.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>6. The raw number itself says nothing \u2014 the trend is what matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The main conclusion from this statistics is this: individual values like <strong>45 775 declarations<\/strong> or <strong>254 deaths<\/strong> do not give a full understanding of the situation. Only in dynamics is it visible that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>the number of declarations has decreased after the pre-war peak;<\/li>\n<li>absolute mortality is falling, but this happens against the backdrop of population decline;<\/li>\n<li>births remain many times lower than deaths;<\/li>\n<li>diseases of the circulatory system have again strengthened their role as the main cause of deaths.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So the issue is not one bad number, but a persistent demographic and medical crisis that the war has only deepened.<\/p>\n<h2>Important clarification<\/h2>\n<p>Some of the data compare different statistical sets: some indicators refer to the entire territory of the <strong>Korabelny district<\/strong>, others \u2014 only to the population served by <strong>PHCC No. 7<\/strong>. And the indicator for <strong>2026<\/strong> on the overall mortality chart is a conditional projection for the year, built on the basis of the <strong>first half<\/strong>.
