The document will apply to cafes, restaurants, shops and other establishments.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"349\" data-end=\"611\">Bill <strong data-start=\"362\" data-end=\"372\">No.15430<\/strong> was registered on <strong data-start=\"387\" data-end=\"409\">20 July<\/strong> 2026, and on <strong>22 July<\/strong> it was sent for consideration to the parliamentary Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy. The initiators of the document were 16 people&#8217;s deputies. The authors propose to establish that musical accompaniment in the service sector may be in Ukrainian or any other language, except the state or official language of a country that the Verkhovna Rada has recognized as an aggressor state or an occupying state.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"853\" data-end=\"1115\">The restrictions are planned to apply to <strong data-start=\"884\" data-end=\"986\">the performance and reproduction of songs, musical works with lyrics, phonograms, videograms and music videos<\/strong>. The provision that allows switching to another language during service at the customer&#8217;s request will not apply to musical accompaniment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1117\" data-end=\"1165\">For violations, the following fines are proposed:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1386\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1pab6sv\" data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1210\">for the first time \u2014 from <strong data-start=\"1182\" data-end=\"1209\">8,500 to 17,000 hryvnias<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"4n9ubh\" data-start=\"1211\" data-end=\"1271\">for a repeat offense within a year \u2014 from <strong data-start=\"1242\" data-end=\"1270\">17,000 to 85,000 hryvnias<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"aan14k\" data-start=\"1272\" data-end=\"1386\">for the third and each subsequent violation \u2014 from <strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1347\">85,000 to 170,000 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1388\" data-end=\"1600\">Enforcement of the requirements is proposed to be controlled by the Commissioner for the Protection of the State Language and his representatives. They will be able to draw up protocols<strong> without prior warning of the establishment or a requirement to first eliminate the violation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1602\" data-end=\"1866\">In the explanatory note the authors state that Russian-language popular music is used by the Russian Federation as an instrument of cultural and informational influence. In addition, the payment of royalties through rights holders, labels and distributors can bring profits to Russian performers. For now this is <strong data-start=\"1878\" data-end=\"1899\">only a bill<\/strong>. It is being processed in the relevant committee and has not yet come into force.
