{"id":599633,"date":"2026-07-22T12:27:58","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T09:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/2026\/07\/599633\/mykolaiv-oblast-first-in-ukraine-for-wind-power-capacity-over-400-mw-odesa-oblast-over-200-mw\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T12:28:01","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T09:28:01","slug":"mykolaiv-oblast-first-in-ukraine-for-wind-power-capacity-over-400-mw-odesa-oblast-over-200-mw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/en\/2026\/07\/599633\/mykolaiv-oblast-first-in-ukraine-for-wind-power-capacity-over-400-mw-odesa-oblast-over-200-mw\/","title":{"rendered":"Mykolaiv Oblast \u2014 first in Ukraine for wind power capacity: over 400 MW; Odesa Oblast \u2014 over 200 MW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The first half of 2026<\/strong> in Ukraine was marked by the leadership of Mykolaiv Oblast and Odesa Oblast in wind power capacity: more than <strong>400<\/strong> MW are concentrated in Mykolaiv Oblast, more than <strong>200<\/strong> MW in Odesa Oblast, and the country\u2019s total installed wind generation capacity reached <strong>1.115<\/strong> GW.<\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Energy reported that in the <strong>first half of 2026<\/strong> <strong>70<\/strong> new wind units with a total capacity of <strong>414.8<\/strong> MW were commissioned, reinforcing the trend toward expanding renewable generation.<\/p>\n<p>Solar power is also growing rapidly: according to NEC \u00abUkrenergo\u00bb, the total capacity of solar power plants in Ukraine stands at <strong>7.3<\/strong> GW. The largest figures were recorded in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast \u2014 <strong>947<\/strong> MW, Mykolaiv Oblast \u2014 <strong>782<\/strong> MW, and Odesa Oblast \u2014 <strong>515<\/strong> MW.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, the country is increasing gas-fired generation capacity. About <strong>1.8<\/strong> GW of distributed gas capacity is currently installed. Since <strong>March 2026<\/strong>, an additional <strong>388.8<\/strong> MW has been brought online, and construction continues at <strong>247<\/strong> sites with a planned total capacity of <strong>532.2<\/strong> MW.<\/p>\n<p>Significant progress is also being made in energy storage systems: over the past year their combined capacity has increased more than <strong>300<\/strong>-fold \u2014 to over <strong>600<\/strong> MW.
