On the morning of Saturday, July 18<\/strong>, on Kurortna Street in Mykolaiv<\/strong> a Volkswagen Touareg and a Lifan motorcycle collided, as a result of which the 17<\/strong>-year-old rider of the two-wheeler was injured.<\/p>\n

According to the victim, who spoke with a correspondent of Novini-N<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, he was riding along Kurortna Street (formerly Butomi) from the side of General Oleksa Almazov Street toward Ozerna Street, when a Volkswagen Touareg parked at the curb near the hospital suddenly moved and began to turn around in the opposite direction, after which the motorcycle struck the SUV’s left rear wing.<\/p>\n

As a result of the impact the 17<\/strong>-year-old motorcyclist fell onto the asphalt and sustained injuries; an ambulance took him from the scene to the hospital, where he received first aid, after which he returned to the scene; preliminarily both knees and both arms were injured.<\/p>\n

While paperwork is being completed, an investigator is working at the scene to establish all the circumstances of the crash.<\/p>\n

After the collision the Volkswagen Touareg ended up across the carriageway, and the motorcycle lay on the road, completely blocking the lane toward General Almazov Street, which caused traffic complications.<\/p>\n
