Athletes of the Children and Youth Sports School “Olimp”, which operates in the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv<\/strong>, won 22 medals<\/strong> at the Open Championship of the Mykolaiv Oblast<\/strong> in kayak and canoe racing among boys and girls.<\/p>\n

The competitions took place on July 11, 2026<\/strong>. The young athletes demonstrated a high level of preparation at distances of 200<\/strong>, 500<\/strong> and 1000 meters<\/strong>, competing in singles, doubles and mixed crews.<\/p>\n

Immediately three medals<\/strong> were won by Denys Kyselov<\/strong>. He became the winner in the kayak double at the 500-meter distance, and also earned two silver medals in the single kayak at the 1000- and 500-meter distances.<\/p>\n

Mykyta Koltsov<\/strong> added four medals<\/strong> to the team\u2019s tally. The athlete won the single kayak at 500 meters and the mixed kayak double at 200 meters. He also took two silver<\/strong> medals in the single kayak at 1000 meters and the kayak double at 500 meters.<\/p>\n

The largest number of gold medals among the school\u2019s pupils was won by Viktoriia Denkovych<\/strong>. The paddler climbed to the top step of the podium four<\/strong> times: in the single kayak at 1000 and 500 meters, in the kayak double at 500 meters, and in the mixed crew at 200 meters.<\/p>\n

Kateryna Kulishova<\/strong> became champion as part of the kayak double at the 500-meter distance.<\/p>\n

A silver medal in the canoe double at 500 meters was won by Denys Skyba<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Two medals were won by Andrii Basin<\/strong>. He won the kayak double at 500 meters, and in the single kayak at the same distance he became the bronze medalist.<\/p>\n

Maksym Sidilyov<\/strong> captured a gold medal in the mixed canoe double at 200 meters.<\/p>\n

Akim Yemets<\/strong> won a silver medal in the canoe double at 500 meters and a bronze medal in the single canoe at 1000 meters.<\/p>\n

Another silver<\/strong> in the mixed canoe double at 200 meters was won by Artem Borivskyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Three medals were added to the team\u2019s total by Tiana Yemets<\/strong>. The athlete became champion twice in the single canoe \u2014 at 500 and 200 meters \u2014 and also won a silver medal in the mixed canoe double at 200 meters.<\/p>\n

The pupils of the CYSS “Olimp” were prepared for the competitions by coaches Lyubov Denkovych, Serhii Levchenko, Olga Tsompel, Maksym Dmytriiev and Oleksii Petrosyants.<\/p>\n

In total, the school\u2019s representatives won 12 gold, 7 silver and 3 bronze medals, confirming the high level of training at the Mykolaiv paddling school.<\/p>\n
