Experts recorded linear bruises on the right shoulder and in the subscapular area, which were classified as minor bodily injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Documents of the case indicate that at the time the defendant&#8217;s husband was at work, and she was caring for seven children on her own, and the youngest had a fever the day before. Because of fatigue, the mother reacted to her daughter&#8217;s refusal to read and, unable to obtain compliance by persuasion, took the jump rope and struck her approximately five times.<\/p>\n<p>In court the woman fully admitted guilt, explained her behavior by exhaustion from caring for the children and expressed remorse.
