The head of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center of Vinnytsia Oblast<\/strong> has been notified of suspicion of entering false data into the state system “Obereg”. According to the investigation, the official fictitiously recorded conscription-liable men as mobilized in order to artificially improve the recruitment center’s performance indicators.<\/p>\n

From January to April 2026<\/strong> the 34-year-old<\/strong> manager, having lawful access to the automated system, allegedly changed information about men who were on the wanted list. In the registry they were marked as already mobilized and serving in the military.<\/p>\n

According to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office, false information was entered for at least 27 people<\/strong>. The DBR (State Bureau of Investigation) reported that the investigation has already identified nearly 50 men<\/strong> who were fictitiously assigned to various military units across Ukraine<\/strong>. In reality only 1<\/strong> of them was serving.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe that in this way the head of the recruitment center created the appearance of meeting mobilization plans. The DBR is also checking whether the official received unlawful benefit for his actions and whether representatives of the military units to which the men were “on paper” assigned were involved in the scheme.<\/p>\n

The court ordered pretrial detention for the suspect with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of 266,340 hryvnias<\/strong>. He was also suspended from his position.<\/p>\n

The head of the district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center is accused of unauthorized alteration of information in an automated system, committed repeatedly, under Parts 1 and 3 of Article 362 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>. If found guilty, he faces up to 6 years in prison<\/strong> and a ban on holding certain positions for up to 3 years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The pretrial investigation is being conducted by the DBR, with procedural guidance by the Vinnytsia Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Defense of the Southern Region. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.<\/p>\n
