Mykolaiv region<\/strong> was visited by the First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine \u2014 Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal<\/strong>. During a meeting with the regional leadership and energy companies they discussed preparations for the autumn\u2013winter period, restoration of damaged facilities, and protection of critical infrastructure<\/strong>. The results of the meeting were reported on 8 July<\/strong> 2026 by the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and Denys Shmyhal.<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency JICA, the region is to receive 26 power transformers<\/strong>. Another eight transformer substation kits<\/strong> have already been delivered by the German Society for International Cooperation GIZ.<\/p>\n

From the Energy Support Fund, the procurement of equipment for the Mykolaiv region totaling \u20ac141.5 million<\/strong> has been approved. Contracts according to the declared needs have already been signed for \u20ac49.9 million<\/strong>. The equipment is planned to be used to restore infrastructure, improve the reliability of power supply, develop distributed generation, and provide physical protection for energy facilities.<\/p>\n

The region is also set to receive critically important equipment under the SPARC program, financed by the U.S. government<\/strong>, and an electricity storage unit with a capacity of 1 MW<\/strong>. Such installations are planned to be provided to each frontline region to reduce the risk of emergency outages.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the “Ray of Hope”<\/strong> project continues in the Mykolaiv region. It involves ten<\/strong> medical institutions, four<\/strong> of which already generate their own electricity. The total capacity of the solar panels installed there is 190 kW<\/strong>. Six more hospitals are at various stages of project implementation.<\/p>\n
