The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have notified a sitting People’s Deputy of Ukraine of suspicion. According to media reports, this concerns Mykola Tyshchenko<\/strong>, who is suspected of requesting an improper benefit, legalizing funds of illegal origin, and submitting knowingly false information in a declaration.<\/p>\n

About the new criminal proceeding June 29, 2026<\/strong> reported<\/a> NABU.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, in August 2023<\/strong> the People’s Deputy hid behind combating the activities of so-called “call centers”, but at the same time requested from a person he considered involved in that business more than 1 million US dollars<\/strong> in improper benefit.<\/p>\n

For that money the deputy allegedly promised to use his powers to intervene in the operation of some “call centers” in favor of that person. At the same time, other similar structures he, according to the investigation, was to refrain from obstructing.<\/p>\n

NABU said what exactly the People’s Deputy allegedly offered to do for more than 1 million US dollars<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“For this he promised to use his powers to intervene in the activities of some “call centers” in the interests of this person and not to obstruct the work of others. However, he did not receive the improper benefit,” the report says.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Thus, according to the anti-corruption authorities, the agreed money was in fact not received by the deputy. However, the investigation believes that the very request to provide an improper benefit and the proposed scheme for using parliamentary powers contain signs of a criminal offense.<\/p>\n

A separate episode concerns the origin of UAH 12.6 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to NABU and SAP, the deputy legalized funds of illegal origin through a fictitious gift agreement concluded with his ex-wife.<\/p>\n

The investigation established that the woman did not have lawful income sufficient for such a gift. In addition, detectives assert that the actual transfer of UAH 12.6 million<\/strong> between the former spouses did not take place at all.<\/p>\n

Despite this, the deputy recorded the stated sum as received income in his annual declaration. According to the investigation, by doing so he intentionally entered knowingly false information into the document and attempted to give illegal funds the appearance of legal income.<\/p>\n
