Extreme heat continues to blanket Ukraine. On Sunday, 28 June 2026<\/strong>, air temperatures in some regions will rise to +35\u2026+38\u00b0C<\/strong>. The hottest air will cover the western regions, Zhytomyr<\/strong>, Vinnytsia<\/strong> and Odesa oblasts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported<\/a> the dangerous weather conditions.<\/p>\n

According to forecasters, most of the country will see light cloudiness. Significant precipitation is not expected in most oblasts. At the same time, in the eastern regions, in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast<\/strong>, and during the day also in Zaporizhzhia<\/strong>, Kherson oblasts<\/strong> and in temporarily occupied Crimea<\/strong>, light short-lived showers are possible. Thunderstorms are forecast in places.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center provided information on precipitation, wind and temperature readings in Ukraine for 28 June<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Light cloudiness. In the eastern regions, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, and during the day in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson oblasts and in Crimea, light short-lived rain, isolated thunderstorms; no precipitation elsewhere. Wind mainly north\u2011west, 5\u201310 m\/s”, \u2014 the report said.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At night, air temperatures will mostly be +16\u2026+21\u00b0C<\/strong>. During the day, in most oblasts thermometers will rise to +29\u2026+34\u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The most dangerous heat is forecast for the western oblasts, in Zhytomyr region<\/strong>, Vinnytsia region<\/strong> and Odesa region<\/strong>. There daytime temperatures will reach +35\u2026+38\u00b0C<\/strong>. Meanwhile in eastern Ukraine it will be somewhat cooler \u2014 around +23\u2026+28\u00b0C<\/strong>. However, due to possible thunderstorms and short-lived showers the weather will remain unstable.<\/p>\n

In Mykolaiv<\/strong> during the second half of the day temperatures may rise to about +34\u2026+35\u00b0C<\/strong>. No precipitation is expected, so residents should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during the hottest hours.<\/p>\n

Children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with cardiovascular and other chronic illnesses should be especially careful during the heat. Medics advise drinking water regularly, not leaving children and animals in closed cars, wearing light-colored, lightweight clothing and, if possible, avoiding being outdoors in direct sunlight from 11:00 to 17:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Severe heat also increases the load on the energy system due to mass use of air conditioners. Therefore residents are advised not to turn on several powerful electrical appliances at once, especially during the evening hours.<\/p>\n
