In the Odesa region, rescuers have stopped the active phase of the search for a 10-year-old girl who was carried by the current into the open sea near the village of Sychavka.<\/p>\n

This was reported by the spokesperson of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast, Marina Martynenko<\/strong>, in a comment to \u201cUP. Life<\/a>\u201d.<\/p>\n

The child went missing on June 19, 2026, while resting with her great-grandmother on an unsanctioned beach. The girl was in the water on an inflatable ring when the current carried her away from the shore.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the disappearance, representatives of the Naval Forces found the inflatable ring. After that, a large-scale search operation involving rescuers began.<\/p>\n

For five days specialists inspected the water surface and the seabed, but the child’s whereabouts could not be established.<\/p>\n

According to Marina Martynenko, the active phase of the search was stopped. She also noted that the operation was conducted on a dangerous, undeveloped beach, where conditions posed a threat even to the rescuers themselves.<\/p>\n
