For drivers who repeatedly violate the speed limit, the penalty amount may reach <strong>17 thousand<\/strong> hryvnias.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">This was <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/vasylevska96\/4387\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on June 23, 2026 by Member of Parliament <strong>Olga Vasylevska-Smagliuk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">According to her, the relevant bill is being developed jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police. The document&#8217;s goal is to reduce the number of road traffic accidents, injuries and deaths on the roads.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The proposed scale of fines provides for:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>exceeding the speed by more than 20 km\/h \u2014 680 hryvnias;<\/li>\n<li>by more than 40 km\/h \u2014 2,040 hryvnias;<\/li>\n<li>by more than 60 km\/h \u2014 2,720 hryvnias;<\/li>\n<li>by more than 80 km\/h \u2014 3,400 hryvnias.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">A separate strengthening of penalties is proposed for habitual offenders. For five or more recorded speed violations within a year, the fine may amount to 17 thousand hryvnias.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Currently in Ukraine, exceeding the established speed by more than 20 km\/h is set at a fine of 340 hryvnias.
