Despite criminal proceedings, court hearings, suspicions and searches, some officials and heads of municipal enterprises of the Mykolaiv region<\/strong> continue to declare significant incomes, buy expensive property and hold substantial savings.<\/p>\n

This conclusion was reached by journalists from Nikcenter<\/a>, after analyzing the declarations of the figures in the region’s most high-profile corruption cases.<\/p>\n

One of the most illustrative examples was the family of the mayor of Bashtanka, \u041e\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0441\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0440 \u0411\u0435\u0440\u0435\u0433\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0439<\/strong>, who in August 2025<\/strong> was notified of suspicion of embezzling budget funds during the procurement of military uniforms and footwear. According to the declaration, his family’s total income for 2025<\/strong> reached almost 7 million hryvnias<\/strong>. The official’s wife purchased a non-residential premises in Pervomaisk worth 2 million hryvnias<\/strong>, and also declared 5.8 million hryvnias<\/strong> in income from entrepreneurial activity.<\/p>\n

Another subject of the journalistic investigation was the director of the municipal specialized installation and operation enterprise, \u0413\u0440\u0438\u0433\u043e\u0440\u0456\u0439 \u041f\u0430\u0442\u043e\u043a\u0430<\/strong>, who is suspected of embezzling funds during the procurement of traffic lights. According to the declaration, his wife purchased a Toyota Camry 2023<\/strong> for 868,000 hryvnias<\/strong>, although journalists note that the market value of such a car may be significantly higher. The official himself declared more than 1.1 million hryvnias<\/strong> in salary for the year.<\/p>\n

The piece also mentions the director of the municipal enterprise “Cost-accounting division for construction mechanization”, \u041e\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0441\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0440 \u0423\u0440\u0441\u043e\u043b\u043e\u0432<\/strong>, who is involved in a case concerning the procurement of LED luminaires with alleged budget losses of over 6 million hryvnias<\/strong>. In his declaration he indicated a $15,000<\/strong> loan, but did not disclose the details of this financial obligation.<\/p>\n

A figure in the criminal proceedings is also the head of the Berezanka settlement council, \u0412\u0430\u043b\u0435\u0440\u0456\u0439 \u0425\u043e\u043c\u0456\u0446\u044c\u043a\u0438\u0439<\/strong>, who is suspected of embezzling funds during the purchase of generators. At the same time, his wife in 2025<\/strong> became the owner of a 2024 Volkswagen T\u2011Roc<\/strong>, the market value of which is estimated at approximately 1 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The head of the Domanivka settlement, \u0412\u0456\u043a\u0442\u043e\u0440 \u0412\u043b\u0430\u0441\u044e\u043a<\/strong>, who is accused of embezzling budget funds and official forgery, was also among the subjects of the investigation. According to the declaration, his family uses a 2012 Porsche Cayenne<\/strong>, the market price of which may be around 1 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Journalists paid special attention to the head of the Department for Physical Culture and Sports of the Mykolaiv City Council, \u0406\u0440\u0438\u043d\u0430 \u0411\u043e\u043d\u0434\u0430\u0440\u0435\u043d\u043a\u043e<\/strong>, who is involved in a case regarding possible fictitious employment. Despite a total family income of more than 1.6 million hryvnias<\/strong>, the couple’s declaration does not indicate any cash savings.<\/p>\n

Among the analyzed officials is also the mayor of Pervomaisk, \u041e\u043b\u0435\u0433 \u0414\u0435\u043c\u0447\u0435\u043d\u043a\u043e<\/strong>, who was previously accused of declaring false information. In 2025<\/strong> he declared 1.3 million hryvnias<\/strong> in salary and over 336,000 hryvnias<\/strong> in pension payments. His family’s total income exceeded 2 million hryvnias<\/strong>, and their assets include several apartments, a house, plots of land and commercial real estate.<\/p>\n

Also listed is the director of the municipal enterprise for organizing food services, \u041f\u0435\u0442\u0440\u043e \u0412\u0430\u0448\u0435\u043d\u044f\u043a<\/strong>, who is a figure in the high-profile school catering case. In the declaration his wife reported the purchase of a 2008 BMW X5<\/strong> for only 100,000 hryvnias<\/strong>, although journalists note that the market value of such a vehicle starts at approximately 500,000 hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At the same time, journalists emphasize that the existence of a criminal proceeding or a notification of suspicion does not mean that a person’s guilt has been proven. According to Article 62<\/strong> of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent until their guilt is proven by a final court verdict that has entered into legal force.<\/p>\n
