A delegation from Mykolaiv visited the Danish partner city Aalborg<\/strong> as part of the joint project \u201cSchool Democracy\u201d<\/strong>, which educators from both cities are developing.<\/p>\n

This was reported by the Mykolaiv City Council.<\/p>\n

The purpose of the trip was to strengthen international cooperation, exchange experience in democratic education, develop student self-government and youth leadership. It also aimed to establish partnerships between the youth of Ukraine and Denmark.<\/p>\n

The Mykolaiv delegation included students, teachers and project coordinators.<\/p>\n

During the visit they familiarized themselves with Aalborg\u2019s educational practices, the work of student self-government and mechanisms for involving young people in decision-making at the local level.<\/p>\n

The program was intensive: participants held meetings with representatives of the Aalborg municipality, attended educational seminars, leadership development trainings, and took part in joint youth events.<\/p>\n

Special attention was paid to topics of democratic culture, civic responsibility, volunteering and the role of youth in community development and international partnership.<\/p>\n

An important part of the visit was preparation for the celebration of the Danish Constitution Day<\/strong>. Ukrainian and Danish youth together took part in creative and educational activities, discussing European values, human rights, democracy and youth participation in public life.<\/p>\n

The city council noted that the trip became a platform for cultural dialogue and exchange of experience. Participants gained new knowledge, practical skills and motivation to implement their own initiatives in their communities.<\/p>\n

For Mykolaiv, which continues to restore education and seek international support during the war, such projects can be not only symbolic visits but also a chance to adopt practices that really work in European communities.<\/p>\n
