In the Korabelnyi district of Mykolaiv a new TikTok trend has already reached elementary school students. Pupils in the lower grades of the Mykolaiv Lyceum named after Oleh Olzhych record videos to a track featuring the phrase “six seven”, actively wave their arms and repeat movements that have become part of a popular internet meme.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At first glance this looks like an ordinary children’s flash mob: kids stand together, move their arms, follow the rhythm and film a short video for TikTok. But the trend itself, which is now spreading widely among schoolchildren in different countries, has a much stranger origin.<\/p>\n

The meme “six seven”<\/strong>, or “6-7”<\/strong>, became one of the most popular internet jokes among children and teenagers in 2025<\/strong>. It is shouted, repeated in videos, accompanied by hand gestures and often used simply as an absurd phrase without a clear meaning.<\/p>\n

According to Dictionary.com<\/strong>, the term “67”<\/strong> was named Word of the Year in 2025<\/strong>. The dictionary’s editors noted that even adults are still trying to understand what the phrase actually means. For schoolchildren it became a kind of signal for “one of us”, and for many parents and teachers \u2014 another example of the obscure internet language of the new generation.<\/p>\n

The meme’s origin is linked to a track by American rapper Skrilla<\/strong>, “Doot Doot (6 7)”<\/strong>. The repeating phrase “6-7”<\/strong> from that composition made its way into short videos and then began to live a life of its own on TikTok, Reels and in school chats. Associated Press explains that the expression does not have one fixed meaning: it can be used as a “meh”, as a joke, or simply as an exclamation that only makes sense within a group of kids.<\/p>\n
