KP “Mykolaivvodokanal”<\/strong> forecasts at least 665 million hryvnias<\/strong> in losses in 2026<\/strong>. One of the company’s main problems now is a shortage of funds. This was reported during the “Dialogue” program on the MART TV channel by the director of KP “Mykolaivvodokanal”.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to him, the financial plan for 2026 already includes losses of 665 million hryvnias, but this amount may rise due to the increase in fuel and electricity costs. Hennadiy Izyumov<\/strong> explained that the company will have to look for sources to cover this deficit:<\/p>\n

“One of the main problems is a shortage of funds. According to the 2026 financial plan, we have planned losses of 665 million hryvnias. These funds need to be raised somewhere. This is a planned deficit that, by the end of the year, will probably increase. Because fuel prices have risen, the cost of electricity will go up. We can’t escape that.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Another painful issue remains consumer debts. As of May 1<\/strong> accounts receivable owed to the company reached almost 258 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

According to the director of the water utility, this is partly related to the war, people leaving the city and the absence of regular payments.<\/p>\n

“In addition, accounts receivable as of May 1 are almost 258 million hryvnias. This is also connected, among other things, with the war, the absence of people who have left, and the lack of payments,” \u2014 said Hennadiy Izyumov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The financial problems of “Mykolaivvodokanal”<\/strong> accumulated over more than one year. The company has previously reported a deep crisis, systemic management inefficiency and a projected loss for 2026<\/strong> at the level of 667.4 million hryvnias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Separately, a debate is ongoing in the city about the real cost of water supply. Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv OVA Vitaliy Kim<\/strong> said that an economically justified water tariff could be about 90 hryvnias per cubic meter<\/strong>, while for people the prospect of tariff increases remains extremely painful.<\/p>\n
