Ukrainian engineers have created the first domestically produced guided aerial bomb, which has already been tested and is ready for combat use, as reported on his Telegram<\/a> by Ukraine’s Minister of Defense, Mykhailo Fedorov.<\/p>\n

According to the head of the department, the development lasted 17<\/strong> months, and during the design of the KAB the requirements and threats arising in the current conditions of war were taken into account.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ukrainian KAB has a unique design and was created taking into account the realities of modern war. It is not a copy of Western or Soviet solutions, but an original development by Ukrainian engineers for effectively striking fortifications, command posts and other enemy targets tens of kilometers deep after release,\u201d Mykhailo Fedorov reported.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The minister clarified that the warhead of the new aerial bomb has a mass of 250<\/strong> kg, and aircrews are already practicing its use and tactical procedures within the framework of real wartime scenarios.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ministry of Defense has already purchased the first experimental batch. Now pilots are working through combat scenarios and adapting the employment of the new means in real wartime conditions. Soon Ukrainian KABs will be operating against enemy targets,\u201d said Ukraine’s Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Romania have begun joint development and production of drones, and the initiative will receive funding of 200<\/strong> million euros through the SAFE program.<\/p>\n
