In the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv<\/strong>, a 43<\/strong>-year-old woman fired several shots at a 27<\/strong>-year-old man after he complained to her group about their loud behavior; the victim, with gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen, was hospitalized, police reported on May 18, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After the shooting the offender left the scene, but investigators quickly identified, located and detained her in Kyiv<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During a sanctioned search of the woman’s residence, investigators found and seized a pistol and ammunition; the weapon was sent for forensic examination to establish its origin and suitability for firing.<\/p>\n

According to the investigation, the injured man sustained gunshot wounds to his arm and abdomen; he was given medical assistance and taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

The detainee has been notified of suspicion under the Criminal Code article on hooliganism involving the use of a weapon, which provides for a penalty of up to 7<\/strong> years in prison, the capital’s police reported.<\/p>\n
