In Ukraine, they want to punish fortune-telling, esotericism and occultism"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"1275\">In the <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"960\">Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine<\/strong> a draft law <strong data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"998\">No.15251<\/strong> was registered proposing to introduce <strong>administrative liability<\/strong> for paid services of divination, magic, extrasensory perception, esotericism and occultism. The document was submitted on <strong data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1180\">15 May<\/strong> 2026. The initiator was Member of Parliament <strong data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1236\">Heorhiy Mazurashu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1277\" data-end=\"1598\">The idea is simple: if a person takes money for &#8220;fortune-telling&#8221;, &#8220;energy cleansing&#8221;, magical consultations or other occult practices, <strong>this may begin to be punished as an administrative offense<\/strong>. It also concerns advertising, popularization and dissemination of information about such services. So a typical announcement &#8220;I will bring back your lover, remove a curse, open a money channel&#8221; may become not a business offer but a <strong>reason for a fine<\/strong>. The irony is that now the future of fortune-tellers is truly murky &#8211; but because of legislators, not retrograde Mercury.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"2168\">Publications referring to the text of the initiative state that such actions could incur a fine from <strong data-start=\"1965\" data-end=\"1973\">1000<\/strong> to <strong data-start=\"1977\" data-end=\"2030\">2000 non-taxable minimums of citizens&#8217; income<\/strong> with confiscation and disposal of the means and items used to provide such services.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2170\" data-end=\"2687\">A distinct political flavour is added by the fact that the topic appeared after sensational reports from the session of the <strong data-start=\"2279\" data-end=\"2287\">High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS)<\/strong> in the case of the former head of the <strong data-start=\"2314\" data-end=\"2348\">President&#8217;s Office, Andriy Yermak<\/strong>. It was previously reported that he allegedly consulted with fortune-teller <strong data-start=\"2409\" data-end=\"2433\">Veronika Anikiyovych<\/strong> on staffing issues. <strong data-start=\"2456\" data-end=\"2474\">Korabelov.Info<\/strong> already wrote that during the hearing data was presented about contacts with a woman recorded as <strong data-start=\"2558\" data-end=\"2584\">&#8220;Veronika Feng Shui Office&#8221;<\/strong>, which allegedly concerned possible appointments in state bodies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2689\" data-end=\"2987\">For now the bill is only registered and still has to go through the parliamentary procedure. So it&#8217;s too early for fortune-tellers, tarot readers, psychics and all sellers of &#8220;success energy&#8221; to pack their cards away.
