On the e-petitions website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine<\/strong>, a number of appeals have been registered regarding migration policy, protection of the labor market, and control over the presence of foreigners in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

One of the petitions is titled \u201cProtection of the national labor market: priority reservation of Ukrainians instead of migration\u201d. Its author \u2014 \u0427\u0443\u0431\u0430\u0440\u0435\u0432\u0430 \u042e\u043b\u0456\u044f \u0421\u0435\u0440\u0433\u0456\u0457\u0432\u043d\u0430<\/strong>. The signature collection started on May 11, 2026<\/strong>. As of the time the appeal was recorded, it had collected 11,655 signatures<\/strong> out of the required 25,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The petition proposes developing and implementing a state strategy to protect the national labor market. It calls for priority reservation of Ukrainian citizens and engaging the Ukrainian diaspora instead of foreign migration.<\/p>\n

The authors of such appeals insist that the state should primarily rely on Ukrainians: those who live in the country, as well as those who left because of the war and are ready to return to work in critically important sectors.<\/p>\n

Another petition \u2014 \u201cThe problem of mass importation of migrants\u201d. Its author \u2014 \u041f\u043e\u0433\u043e\u0440\u0454\u043b\u043e\u0432 \u0412\u043b\u0430\u0434\u0438\u0441\u043b\u0430\u0432 \u041e\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0441\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0440\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0447<\/strong>. As of the screenshot it had gathered 3,065 signatures<\/strong> out of the required 25,000<\/strong>. The appeal proposes banning the importation of labor migrants from Asia<\/strong>, Africa<\/strong> and other regions.<\/p>\n

The third petition concerns strengthening control over migration and ensuring that foreigners comply with the law in Ukraine. Its author \u2014 \u041a\u0443\u0447\u0435\u0440\u044f\u0432\u0435\u043d\u043a\u043e \u041e\u043b\u044c\u0433\u0430 \u041e\u043b\u0435\u043a\u0441\u0456\u0457\u0432\u043d\u0430<\/strong>. This appeal collected 360 signatures<\/strong> out of the required 25,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This petition proposes tightening checks of documents and the legality of foreigners’ stay, introducing mandatory medical screening for persons arriving for a long-term stay, and combating illegal work and shadow employment schemes.<\/p>\n

The topic sparked active discussion on social networks. Some users express concern about the possible influx of a large number of migrants from Pakistan<\/strong>, Bangladesh<\/strong> and other countries. In the comments, people most often talk about risks to the labor market, security, demographics and social tension.<\/p>\n
