Mayor <strong>Oleksandr Senkevych<\/strong> made the statement during a staff meeting on <strong>May 11, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>According to the mayor, he had raised the issue at a meeting with <strong>Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko<\/strong> and other government representatives.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p><em>\u201cIn the Department of Housing and Communal Services the amount of money has decreased and the number of projects has decreased. I raised this issue at a meeting with the Prime Minister and representatives of the entire Cabinet of Ministers. The Prime Minister heard about this for the first time. That&#8217;s how our letters from Mykolaiv get through. But the main thing is that she took it up,\u201d \u2013 <strong>Senkevych said.<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The mayor also said that the situation with budget funding was now being discussed with Finance Minister <strong>Serhii Marchenko<\/strong>. According to <strong>Senkevych<\/strong>, the Ministry of Finance is reviewing how the city budget has been spent.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"quote-light\"><p><em>\u201cWe are working on this issue with Serhii Mykhailovych Marchenko. He reported that the Ministry of Finance is checking our budget, the use of budget funds \u2013 whether we are simply \u2018beggars\u2019, or whether there really is not enough money.
