At the time of the offense the man was a serviceman who had deserted his military unit. On <strong data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"942\">May 6<\/strong>, 2026, the press service of the <strong data-start=\"965\" data-end=\"1012\">Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv<\/strong> reported this.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1119\" data-end=\"1291\">The case was heard by the <strong data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1180\">Central District Court of the city of Mykolaiv<\/strong> presided over by Judge <strong data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1227\">Pavlo Charychanskyi<\/strong>. The defendant&#8217;s actions were qualified under <strong data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1290\">part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1293\" data-end=\"1488\">The court found that on the evening of <strong data-start=\"1319\" data-end=\"1342\">April 15, 2025<\/strong> the man was staying in one of the hostels in <strong data-start=\"1383\" data-end=\"1396\">Mykolaiv<\/strong>. He entered the administrator&#8217;s office and, threatening with a kitchen knife, began demanding money. The worker&#8217;s screams were heard by a serviceman of the <strong data-start=\"1533\" data-end=\"1540\">Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU)<\/strong>, who was temporarily staying in that hostel. He knocked the knife out of the attacker&#8217;s hand. After that, together with two other servicemen, the man was detained on the spot and handed over to police officers.
