A Member of Parliament from the “Servant of the People”<\/strong> party, elected in Mykolaiv region<\/strong>, Ihor Negulevskyi<\/strong> shortly before being served a suspicion by NABU<\/strong> and SAP<\/strong> moved into a large estate in the village of Kozyn<\/strong> in the Kyiv region<\/strong>. It concerns a house of about 800 sq. m<\/strong> in a gated cottage community with water access, journalists from Bihus.Info<\/strong><\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the house is located in one of the elite gated cottage communities that was built roughly 10<\/strong> years ago. Access to the shore significantly affects property prices in that area.<\/p>\n

Journalists found a rental listing for this cottage that included photos and a description of the house. It stated that natural materials were used during construction, including marble, granite and wood. The estate also features designer finishes in a classical style, a billiard room, a gym, a master bedroom with its own bathroom and walk-in closet, an additional three<\/strong> bedrooms, four<\/strong> bathrooms, a spa area with a sauna, a pool with a jacuzzi, a guest house of 90 sq. m<\/strong>, staff quarters with a separate entrance, a barbecue area and a boathouse with a yacht-launching system. The estate grounds measure 35 sotkas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The listed rental price for this house was $5,000<\/strong> per month. Journalists noted that for Kozyn<\/strong> such a price might be understated: for comparison, on OLX<\/strong> they found a similar-sized house on 40 sotkas<\/strong> for almost $12,500<\/strong> per month.<\/p>\n

Ihor Negulevskyi<\/strong> is a Member of Parliament from “Servant of the People”<\/strong> and sits on the parliamentary committee on road transport and infrastructure. At the end of December 2025<\/strong> he received a suspicion from NABU<\/strong> and SAP<\/strong> in a case concerning alleged payment for parliamentary votes by “envelopes.” According to the investigation, a group of MPs coordinated which bills and resolutions to support and which to block, and for this could have received from $2,000<\/strong> to $20,000<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Journalists noted that Negulevskyi began renting the house in Kozyn<\/strong> approximately two weeks<\/strong> before receiving the suspicion. Bihus.Info also pointed out that in April<\/strong> the MP purchased a boat.<\/p>\n

In Ihor Negulevskyi’s declaration for 2025<\/strong>, journalists report there is no information about expenses for renting this property. At the same time, $5,000<\/strong> per month is more than 200,000 hryvnias<\/strong>. The MP told journalists that he actually pays less because the landlord allegedly gave him a discount.<\/p>\n

“I wouldn’t want to say this, but it’s all true. Look, there were some conditions, let’s say, that the landlord agreed to a discount. It’s a little more than 100,000 hryvnias per month,” the MP replied.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to Negulevskyi<\/strong>, he is forced to spend his own savings every month. He said that by the end of the year it will be clear how much money he had and how much is left.<\/p>\n

“By the end of the year it will be visible how many expenses there were, how much money I had and how much remains,” said Ihor Negulevskyi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The MP also explained that he did not specifically look for such a large house, but chose it because of the “reasonable price,” the presence of solar panels, a gas generator and lower utility costs.<\/p>\n

“Well, it just happened to be 800. I didn’t want 800. At that moment, let’s say, there was nothing else. Yes, I took the 800 because the price was reasonable, so to speak. That’s why I took it. Why I noticed it: there are batteries, everything is on these solar panels, so utilities are fine. I understand that it’s too big for me, really too big, but the presence of a gas generator and solar panels is basically why I went to live there,” the MP commented.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Against the backdrop of the war, the budget deficit and ongoing talk of saving public funds, such explanations from a Member of Parliament elected in the Mykolaiv region<\/strong> are at least a matter of public interest. All the more so since this concerns a politician who is already a subject of a high-profile case by NABU<\/strong> and SAP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
