Ukrainian special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) on the night of 26 April 2026<\/strong> carried out a large-scale operation against the military facilities of the Russian occupiers in temporarily occupied Crimea<\/strong>. Targets in Sevastopol<\/strong> and at the military airfield “Belbek”<\/strong> were struck. According to the SBU, the operation was carried out by fighters of the special unit “Alpha”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a result of drone strikes, several important targets of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and air defense systems were hit at once. These include the large landing ship of the Russian Navy “Yamal”<\/strong>, the large landing ship “Filchenkov”<\/strong>, the reconnaissance ship “Ivan Khurs”<\/strong>, the Russian Black Sea Fleet training center “Lukomka”<\/strong>, the radio-technical reconnaissance headquarters of the air defense forces, the radar station MR-10M1 “Mys-M1”<\/strong>, a MiG-31<\/strong> aircraft at “Belbek”<\/strong> airfield, as well as the technical and maintenance section of that airfield.<\/p>\n

“Each such operation has a clear logic: we methodically destroy key elements of the enemy’s military infrastructure \u2014 the fleet, aviation, reconnaissance and air defense. This is not only direct losses of equipment, but also the destruction of the enemy’s ability to control the space, cover their forces and plan new attacks. This work will continue until Russia stops its aggression against our state,” \u2014 said Acting Head of the SBU Yevhenii Khmara<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The SBU noted that the special forces were carrying out tasks assigned by the President of Ukraine, and that that night SBU “Alpha” fighters carried out a successful special operation at the Russian Black Sea Fleet naval base in the city of Sevastopol, as well as at the “Belbek” military airfield (AR Crimea, temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
