In schools in the Mykolaiv region, summer holidays are planned to start approximately June 5<\/strong>, and to conclude the educational process by July 1<\/strong>. This was reported by the director of the Department of Education and Science of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Alla Velikhovska.<\/p>\n

The official explained that the requirement for the final deadline of July 1<\/strong> does not mean that pupils will be at their desks for the entire period up to that date: it refers to the summing up of the educational process, which may include various forms of activity.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the need to make up material in cases of lost instructional time due to quarantine or distance learning, Velikhovska emphasized the priority of covering the full scope of the program and meeting state standards.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf a school had quarantine, or remote learning, or something else, and they did not manage to cover, say, the program, then it is absolutely necessary today to fully present the state standard\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The tentative start date of summer holidays in the region’s educational institutions was named as June 5<\/strong>, however specific decisions regarding the end of classroom lessons will be made by each school’s pedagogical council separately.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, basically, it will be around June 5<\/strong>. I cannot say \u2014 each institution, its pedagogical council, will make the decision when they finish the in-class learning at the desks. After that there will be educational excursions, various events and then graduation ceremonies\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
