During a meeting with business representatives, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the state is critically dependent on foreign technologies in the production of drones and weapons and currently remains more of a user than a full-fledged manufacturer.<\/p>\n
\nAll our super-defense technologies \u2014 drones and other things \u2014 whose component base are they? What is Ukrainian there? Even the 3D<\/strong> printer, on which most parts were produced, is not ours. Even its filament is not ours. We are users, nothing more<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
According to Budanov, the country has lost a number of important competencies, in particular in the field of guidance systems, which directly affects the development of tank and missile programs.<\/p>\n
\nHow many tanks have we built? Since the start of the full-scale war \u2014 zero. Missiles have begun to be produced, but there are nuances there too, and serious ones<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
He separately focused on problems accessing critically important components for weapons, noting that some nodes and assemblies are refused for sale to Ukrainian manufacturers even by partner states.<\/p>\n
\nThe component base, certain nodes, assemblies are simply not sold to us. And our allies do not sell them either<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Budanov recalled that about 20<\/strong> years ago Ukraine had its own capabilities to manufacture such systems, but they were later lost.<\/p>\n
