The investigation believes that<strong> three defendants<\/strong>, aged <strong>25, 33 and 35<\/strong>, while held in a pre-trial detention center, set up a scheme to pressure other detainees and extorted money from them in exchange for not using force.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"1360\">According to law enforcement, at least <strong data-start=\"876\" data-end=\"884\">three<\/strong> <strong>people<\/strong> were harmed by the actions of the suspects. The prosecutor&#8217;s office notes that the defendants received a total of <strong data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"977\">55,200 hryvnias<\/strong> from them. During sanctioned searches on the territory of the pre-trial detention center and other penal institutions, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, tablets, bank cards and other items that, according to the investigation, were used in the criminal scheme. The pre-trial investigation in this case was carried out by investigators of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police in the <strong data-start=\"1296\" data-end=\"1321\">Mykolaiv region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1658\">If the defendants&#8217; guilt is proven in court, they face up to <strong data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1438\">12 years<\/strong> <strong>imprisonment with confiscation of property.<\/strong> At the same time, pursuant to <strong data-start=\"1502\" data-end=\"1531\">Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine<\/strong>, a person is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven by a guilty verdict of a court.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reminder: we previously wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/2026\/03\/576034\/borh-u-300-peretvoryvsia-na-vymohu-3000-u-mykolaievi-vykryly-hrupu-zdyrnykiv\/\">A woman, with the help of &#8220;inmates&#8221;, extracted a fabricated debt from a jeweler in Mykolaiv<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/2026\/01\/568978\/smotriashchi-povertaiutsia-u-mykolaivtsia-vymahaly-2-000-pohrozhuiuchy-nasylstvom-joho-uv-iaznenomu-synu\/\">Are the &#8220;overseers&#8221; returning?
