{"id":579704,"date":"2026-03-31T12:16:45","date_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:16:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/2026\/03\/579704\/left-his-unit-without-permission-and-sold-grenades-court-remands-soldier-to-pretrial-detention\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T12:16:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:16:49","slug":"left-his-unit-without-permission-and-sold-grenades-court-remands-soldier-to-pretrial-detention","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/korabelov.info\/en\/2026\/03\/579704\/left-his-unit-without-permission-and-sold-grenades-court-remands-soldier-to-pretrial-detention\/","title":{"rendered":"Left his unit without permission and sold grenades: court remands soldier to pretrial detention"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"743\"><strong data-start=\"429\" data-end=\"453\">March 30<\/strong>, 2026, the investigating judge <strong data-start=\"468\" data-end=\"530\">of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv Volodymyr Liashchenko<\/strong> considered a motion to impose a preventive measure on a <strong data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"616\">39-year-old serviceman<\/strong>, who unlawfully left his military unit and is suspected under <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"704\">Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine<\/strong> \u2014 illegal handling of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"745\" data-end=\"969\">According to the investigation materials, the man allegedly found or purchased <strong>two hand grenade bodies together with fuzes<\/strong>, after which he sold them to a person who was acting under the control of law enforcement. The amount of the deal was <strong data-start=\"948\" data-end=\"968\">4,000 hryvnias<\/strong>. During the court hearing the suspect did not plead guilty. He explained that he found the munitions in the trash, did not sell them, and that the money received was allegedly a loan. According to him, another person took the grenades for further disposal. The suspect himself and his defender objected to choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.
