During 24 March <\/strong>2026 firefighters extinguished 15 fires<\/strong> in the Mykolaiv region, the State Emergency Service (DSNS)<\/strong> reported. The most worrying situation was again on open terrain: the day proved to be too “fiery”, and the burned area exceeded 13 ha<\/strong>. According to rescuers, this is so far the largest figure since the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n

Some fires also occurred in the private sector. In Mykolaiv<\/strong>, an outbuilding<\/strong> with household items caught fire on the grounds of a private property. The fire affected an area of 20 sq.m<\/strong>, but rescuers managed to prevent the flames from spreading to a nearby summer kitchen.<\/p>\n

In addition, reeds reeds<\/strong> burned in the “Lisky” park in Mykolaiv, dry grass<\/strong> on open terrain in the Pivichny neighborhood, and a fire occurred in an unused building<\/strong>, the city council added.<\/p>\n

A utility structure with hay (with a burning area of 20 sq.m<\/strong>) was extinguished in the village of Kryve Ozero<\/strong> in Pervomaiskyi district. One ton of hay was destroyed.<\/p>\n

Separately, rescuers responded to a vehicle fire. On a field road near the village of Novosilka<\/strong> of the Veselynivka community in Voznesenskyi district, a Toyota RAV4<\/strong> caught fire. We wrote about it: Even a fire extinguisher didn’t help: a car caught fire in Mykolaiv region.<\/a>The fire was extinguished over an area of 7 sq.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The largest problem of the day again were fires in ecosystems. Dry grass, reeds and rubbish burned 13 times<\/strong> within the Kostyantynivska, Chornomorska, Olshanska, Halytsynivska, Berezanska communities of Mykolaiv district; the Bereznehuvatska and Horokhivska communities of Bashtanka district; the Vradiivska and Kryvoozerska communities of Pervomaiskyi district; as well as in the cities of Nova Odesa and Mykolaiv.<\/p>\n

The response involved 65 State Emergency Service personnel<\/strong>, 17 units of equipment<\/strong>, and local fire protection detachments “Oleksandrivka”<\/strong>, “Podillia”<\/strong> and “Halytsynove”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The causes of all the fires are currently being determined.<\/p>\n
