Russian authorities plan to resettle nearly 114 thousand<\/strong> Russian citizens to the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine by 2045. This concerns the Donetsk<\/strong>, Luhansk<\/strong>, Zaporizhzhia<\/strong> and Kherson regions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is reported by the Russian publication “Vedomosti<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

According to the source, the corresponding so-called “development plans” for the occupied territories were developed by Vnesheconombank together with the Unified Institute of Spatial Planning of the Russian Federation. The documents foresee large-scale changes to the demographics and infrastructure of the seized Ukrainian lands.<\/p>\n

In particular, 15 master plans have been prepared, which provide for an increase in the population of 67,100 people. Additionally, another 10 territorial planning projects are expected to provide a population increase of 46,700 people.<\/p>\n

Besides resettling Russians, the occupation authorities plan large-scale construction. The plans include building over 13<\/strong> million square meters<\/strong> of housing, more than 140 kindergartens, dozens of schools, and approximately 100 clinics and polyclinics.<\/p>\n

A large-scale upgrade of transport infrastructure is also planned. The Russians intend to build or reconstruct over 3,270 kilometers of roads, nearly 430 kilometers of railway tracks, as well as 19 stations. In addition, the plans include the construction of sea yacht marinas, piers, and the reconstruction of four aerodromes.<\/p>\n

In industry, the occupiers plan to create 25 industrial parks, launch 8 machine-building enterprises, 15 plants for the production of building materials, and also 6 mining industry facilities. The processing of spoil heaps and other manufacturing projects are mentioned separately.<\/p>\n

Overall, to implement these plans, according to the Russian side’s estimates, it is planned to involve 225,400 workers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Russian documents mention the development of the tourism sector in the occupied territories. In particular, the occupation authorities expect, by 2044<\/strong>, to attract up to 9.4 million tourists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
