Prominent Ukrainian historian, educator, and YouTube blogger Vitaliy Dribnytsia, author of the popular channel Vox Veritatis – Voice of Truth, has reported that he is receiving treatment in Germany. After a lengthy silence, he got back in touch with his followers and posted new photos on his Telegram channel. They include pictures of mushrooms and the buildings of the medical facility where he is currently receiving treatment.

As a reminder, 61-year-old Vitaliy Dribnytsia has been battling cancer for nearly 10 years. It was previously reported that his condition worsened after another round of chemotherapy and that he needed help from German doctors to continue treatment. Korabelov.info reported this on August 25, 2026.

The historian posted photos on his Telegram channel and briefly shared where he was.

“I am receiving treatment in one of these buildings.”

Earlier, Vitaliy Dribnytsia warned his followers that he would have to temporarily suspend the release of videos while undergoing treatment. He said the break could last a month or even longer. The historian also noted that he was in the suburbs of Berlin.

Vitaliy Dribnytsia is a historian, educator, teaching-methodology specialist, and co-author of school textbooks on the history of Ukraine. His YouTube channel, Vox Veritatis, launched in 2021, gained popularity through conversations with Russians on Chatroulette. During these discussions, the historian debunks propaganda claims, talks about Ukrainian history, and exposes Russian propaganda’s manipulations. As of August 2026, the channel had around 590,000 subscribers.

Back in August 2026, historian Anatolii Podolskyi, director of the Ukrainian Center for Holocaust Studies, publicly appealed for help for his longtime friend. He said that Vitaliy Dribnytsia had undergone numerous stages of treatment, but his condition deteriorated significantly after another round of chemotherapy.

According to Anatolii Podolskyi, hopes for further treatment rested on a German clinic, since the tests and medications needed, he said, were not available in Ukraine.

Later, on the Vox Veritatis Telegram channel, the blogger himself announced that the fundraising campaign had ended and asked his followers not to send any more money. Therefore, the fundraising campaign for his treatment is now closed.

The new photos gave his followers a chance to hear from the historian again. However, in his latest brief message, Vitaliy Dribnytsia did not share details about his treatment or its results.

Followers have been leaving messages of support and wishes for a speedy recovery under the blogger’s posts. Ukrainians hope that after treatment, the historian will be able to return to his educational work and make new videos.
