As of August 29 Ukrzaliznytsia trains are delayed by no more than six hours. At the same time, no long-distance service has been canceled.

According to the company, at 15:15 the greatest delay was recorded for train No.21/22 on the Kharkiv — Lviv route. Its delay is 5 hours 30 minutes.

Railway staff are working in an intensified mode to gradually reduce the delays and return trains to the schedule.

“Our railway workers continue to work in an intensified mode to gradually reduce delays and return trains to the timetable,” Ukrzaliznytsia reported.

Free access to paid waiting rooms at stations has been extended until Monday morning. There passengers can rest, warm up, charge their phones, have some tea and wait for their train.

For passengers on services delayed by more than five hours, “iron snacks” are being prepared.

Ukrzaliznytsia also reminded that during an air-raid alarm you should proceed to a shelter and follow announcements at the station. If boarding of a train will continue, railway staff will notify about it separately.

Earlier it was reported that after the strike on a passenger train in Mykolaiv people were evacuated in time.
