Ukraine struck an oil refinery 1,000 km from the front and a Tu-95MS missile carrier in Russia
The strike on the plane was carried out by fighters of the SBU "Alpha" unit
Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that during the day the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck Russian facilities located far from the front line. The president wrote this on social media.
One of the targets was an oil refinery in the Yaroslavl region of Russia. The distance to the front line, according to the head of state, is about 1000 kilometers.
Ukrainian forces carried out another strike in the Russian city of Engels. There, fighters of the “Alpha” unit of the Security Service of Ukraine hit the missile carrier Tu-95MS.
Volodymyr Zelensky explained that it is these aircraft that Russian forces use to shell Ukraine. The president called the actions of the Ukrainian military a response to Russian attacks and thanked them for their accuracy.
Earlier, it was reported that due to shelling, Mykolaiv region and three other regions were left without power.
