23 August in Mykolaiv there were two events that brought townspeople together on the eve of Ukraine’s Independence Day: a dance festival and an evening concert.
In the city they held «YES I CAN FEST — STREET BATTLE», dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the school of dance and acrobatics «Yes I Can». The festival participants were greeted by the mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych. He wished the dancers inspiration and new victories, congratulated the school on its anniversary, and also expressed the hope that the next birthday of the group will be celebrated in a peaceful Ukraine.
During the festival, battles were held in the categories:
- Hip-Hop;
- Jazz-Funk;
- Breaking;
- MATM.
The audience was also shown showcase performances. Musical accompaniment was provided by DJ ASKMAN, and MC VAKUROV participated in the event.
In the evening at Pier 8 a concert «Independence — Our Treasure» took place, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence.
Performing for Mykolaiv residents were the ensemble «Southern Patrol», the orchestra of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv Oblast, soloists and finalist of the show «Ukraine’s Got Talent» Valeriy Yurchenko.
The post expressed gratitude to Ukraine’s defenders (men and women) for the opportunity to live, work, meet and celebrate important days for Ukraine, and to preserve freedom, culture and independence.
