In Mykolaiv, police have opened a criminal case after a man committed acts of hooliganism on an avenue
The starter pistol was confiscated; the man was found to be in possession of alcohol
In Mykolaiv, police opened a criminal investigation after a man committed hooligan actions on Central Avenue. The report of the incident was received by the police on 18 August at about 22:45. The complainant said that an unknown man stopped her on the road while she was riding a motorcycle, threatened her with an object resembling a pistol, and after she left the vehicle began hitting it with a stone.
At the scene, a patrol police unit inspected the surrounding area, tracked down the attacker based on the description and called the investigative-operational team of the Mykolaiv District Police Department.
The offender turned out to be a 48-year-old local resident.
At the scene, police documented damage to the vehicle, located a pistol that turned out to be a blank-firing gun, seized it and sent it for expert examination.
As a result of the medical examination, the man had 0.5 per mille of alcohol.
On this fact, police investigators opened a criminal proceeding, preliminarily under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — hooliganism.
