In the Bydgoszcz area in Poland, police detained a 46-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man suspected of involvement in an attack on Ukrainian children. This was reported by the Bydgoszcz police.
The arrests resulted from an investigation of the incident that took place on Friday, August 14. After identifying possible participants, law enforcement detained the man and the woman. They are currently undergoing investigative and procedural actions at one of the Bydgoszcz police stations.
It was previously reported that two children from Ukraine were injured during the incident — a 14-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother. According to preliminary information, the conflict arose after the teenagers spoke to each other in Ukrainian.
As reported, the man and the woman reacted aggressively to the Ukrainian language, insulted and humiliated the children because of their nationality. The conflict later escalated into a physical confrontation. In addition, the attackers broke the boy’s toy and threw its remains at the child.
Polish law enforcement are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and are determining the role of the detainees in the incident.
Recall, in Poznań two Polish women attacked Ukrainians and ransacked a café.
