August 18 in the Central District of Mykolaiv an open Mykolaiv Regional cycling championship took place. Cyclists competed in the discipline ‘criterium race’. The event was dedicated to Ukraine’s Independence Day, the Central District administration reported.
The championship included men and women under 23 years old, boys and girls, and younger boys and girls. The youngest participants also took part — children born in 2014 and younger. Thus, the competition brought together adult athletes and cyclists from various junior age categories.
The organizers of the championship were the Department of Youth and Sports of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration and the public organization “Mykolaiv Regional Cycling Federation”.
For participants of different ages, the competition was an opportunity to demonstrate their level of preparation and compete for the title of Mykolaiv Regional champions.
Due to the open regional criterium championship held in Mykolaiv on August 18, traffic was temporarily restricted.
