Burns, destroyed structures and a "Molniya" attack: 58 fires occurred in the Mykolaiv region in the past 24 hours
Rescuers saved five residential buildings from the flames
13 August and on the night of 14 August in the Mykolaiv region 58 fires were recorded. The total burned area exceeded 47 hectares.
Two fires were caused by hostilities in the Snihuriv community. After an attack by the UAV «Molniya», a community center and an educational institution caught fire. The fire was extinguished.
During another fire a man was injured. In the village of Kyryakivka a residential house burned; its owner suffered burns and refused hospitalization.
In the residential sector 7 fires occurred due to ignition of dry grass. The fire destroyed 3 outbuildings and damaged another 3. Rescuers saved 5 residential houses from the flames.
The remaining fires occurred in open areas. The State Emergency Service (DSNS) urged people not to burn dry vegetation, stubble and trash: in hot weather fire spreads quickly and can cause significant damage.
In case of fire, call 101.
