In the Mykolaiv region, a man promised to influence the outcome of driving license exams
A man has been notified of suspicion; he faces up to five years' imprisonment
56-year-old resident of Nova Odesa in the Mykolaiv district promised an acquaintance, for a certain sum of money, to influence the decisions of officials of the territorial service center of the MIA so that he would successfully pass the theoretical and practical exams for the subsequent receipt of a driver’s license.
The man’s illegal actions were uncovered and documented by investigators of the investigative department of the regional police headquarters together with officers of the Mykolaiv Department of the Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) under the procedural supervision of the regional prosecutor’s office. This happened during the receipt of an illicit benefit.
According to the investigation, the man was to receive an illicit benefit for himself for influencing the decision-making of a person authorized to exercise state functions.
Investigators notified him of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and served a petition for the selection of a preventive measure.
The suspect faces up to 5 years of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
