A Russian drone carrying 7 kg of explosives fell a few kilometers from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant
The item was found in a field of a state agricultural enterprise in the village of Agronomiya, where the soil is being prepared for sunflowers; the warhead did not detonate
18 May a Russian drone with an unexploded warhead was found in a field near the village of Agronomiya in Mykolaiv region; the device fell a few kilometers from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant.
Photos of the find and the circumstances of the incident were published on Facebook by Yaroslav Didenko, who noted that the UAV fell on a plot prepared for sunflower sowing, and the drone itself was found several kilometers from the nuclear power plant.
“18 May, the village of Agronomiya, Mykolaiv region. A few kilometers from the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant. In one of the fields of a state agricultural enterprise (area prior to sunflower sowing) a Russian UAV with a warhead was found — estimated up to 7 kg of explosive material. Essentially — a combat drone that could have exploded right in the middle of a field where machinery usually operates, where people prepare the soil for the harvest. It was discovered only after it landed in the field as a result of the actions of our air defense forces,” — reported Yaroslav Didenko.
According to the information provided, the warhead did not detonate; however the fall occurred in an active field of the state agricultural enterprise where soil preparation for sunflowers is underway, which created additional risks for machinery and people.
