Four fires in 24 hours: homes and outbuildings burned in Mykolaiv region

4 April 2026 Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Mykolaiv Oblast reported on the fire situation over the past day. According to rescuers, due to overcast weather no cases of burning dry vegetation or trash in open areas were recorded.

However, 4 fires occurred in the private sector. In particular, in the village of Veselynove of Veselynivska Hromada, Voznesensk District, a private residential house burned over an area of 10 sq. m. The fire destroyed a washing machine, a door, and the ceiling.

Another incident occurred in the Central District of Mykolaiv, where household items caught fire in an apartment of a nine-storey building. The fire was extinguished over an area of 5 sq. m.

In the village of Dmytrivka of Kazankivska Hromada, Bashtanka District, rescuers extinguished a fire in a summer kitchen covering 16 sq. m. A blaze also affected an outbuilding in the city of Voznesensk, where the flames covered 6 sq. m.

In total, 29 rescuers and 8 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires. The causes of the blazes are currently being determined.
